<Selection of tip, Usage of simple formula>

It is compulsory to make the size of a hole and the size of a pan the same. If you choose a wide pan, the size of a hole must be big as the painting area is big too. For example, if you want to use the pan size twice as big, you should choose the hole size which has twice the capacity. Just use the following formula under normal rule.

The size of a pan of present tip : the capacity of present tip = wanted size of tip's pan : the capacity of wanted size tip hole

The other way might be satisfactory enough to yield the right thickness of the fragment, however, using the bigger pan will be better. Using the tip selection table, find the tip and the capacity. Take the inch of the present pan, divide the capacity. With the result, multiply with the width of wanted pan. This result is the new width of the pan and the rough capacity. This time using the tip selection table, find the capacity nearest to the one you have, and read the size of a hole. This is the new hole size to ba used together with the new pan size.
